I am sorry, but these statements betray a misrepresentation of what evolution is. Evolution is the process of life changing to meet changing conditions. These changes include weather, climate, geography, and the constant panorama of other life. Most life consumes other life, and as those resources change, living beings either adapt or die out. Alfred Russell Wallace wrote in 1909:

> The essential basis of evolution, involving as it does the most minute and all- pervading adaptation to the whole environment, is extreme and ever-present plasticity, as a condition of survival and adaptation.
