Our surveys suggested a SLIGHT trend toward Russians having less frequent  
problems than Italians, but I've always suspected that was more of an 
artifact  of number of beekeepers using Russian versus Italian queens.
 
It appeared that Italians had a marginally better overwinter performance -  
but NONE of this was statistical.
