SW PA here, wet and relatively mild winter so far. I went into winter with a strong 2yo hive, a strong first year hive, and a small ferral trap out. The two strong hives were treated in late August with Mite-Away strips.

The small colony was gone just after New Years. I hadn't had a chance to break the hive down yet, when we had a really strong wind storm blow through Sunday night. So I went to check the hives yesterday. In addition to the small hive loss, the two strong hives are now dead, too. They were fine two weeks ago.

So, yes I'm just a backyard keep, but for what it's worth - 100% loss.
