This is an interesting topic ...  I have been wondering for some time 
how the cost of labor will impact professional bee keeping in Thailand.  
From January 1 the minimum legal minimum wage was set at THB300 (about 
$10), before then you could hire labor at about THB150 / 160 a day.  Now 
that is quite a jump.

I am waiting to see if bee keepers adopt smarter practices or how they 
respond.  The type of hive here means that you need to service it 
regularly.  I wonder if the price of honey will go up .... probably not, 
due to other regional countries not being burdened by this labor rate.
