The joke is on me. I just skimmed it and then wrote to the author for verification. Looking over the article again I see it isn't about anything but Reed Booth and his tall tales. So much untruthful in it, that it just blows anything he says out of the water.  

I guess I just mistakenly assumed that a journalism student would consult more than one source. I guess not. Just get a juicy story and move on.
