Thanks Kristina for the reply. I know that rhubarb sounds strange for bees. I had a very good year as far as mite control goes and contribute that at least in part to putting thyme in my smoker and not relying on just a spring and fall treatment program. Now I am looking for something else to mix things up a bit and rhubarb seemed on paper to be a good option. The dose levels are so low that strict control should not be necessary and if all else fails I have on hand a bag of 99% Oxalic Acid. I guess that my outlook on mite control is an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure (but have that pound of cure handy).
