limitations on studies...

Limitation on studies are on frequent occasions done by design to avoid other limitation (quite often in bee studies to avoid question of the effect of genetic differences in bees). You can to some degree design around this but this of course requires more money, more time, more labor and of course more bees. With more labor requirements reliability becomes an added concern and this quite frequently becomes the real constraining variable in making experiment more complex.

since it is quite difficult to model the world no matter how robust the design of an experiment there are always limitations and of course a 'call for more research'.
