Allen's mail as part quoted........"He also had one
varroa show up in the wash although he treated with blue shop towels
last spring and fall, and with Checkmite+ in the fall.".....

"Although" suggests that you expected to see no mites.

Having seen one varroa suggests what to you?

Knowing that total elimination of the V.mite is practically impossible using accepted treatments,
why do you use the word "although"?

Does seeing one mite only:
- prove that treatment is not 100% efficient
- or that the colony is infested at "dangerous" levels?

The general message of the mail is an excellent timely warning of not being too complacent.

More thoughts on why you chose the word (as you do most carefully in most instances) - "although"

Regards
Peter
