Here is the drawing that was to describe the wax trap:

Assuming the trap is large enough, the flow of water through is slow
enough for wax and other lighter than water gunk to float, allowing
you to periodically skim it from the surface.  If the flow is slow,
the water out the output won't contain any wax at all...
