and it is not difficult for me to think that neonics may just well be the feather that breaks the camels back.  

Agreed,  in some cases/locations you may be right on.  But the key is not to remove the feather,  but reduce the real load that stressed it so much a feather was all it took.




Blueberries are horrible on bees.  I know about a dozen guys who run them and all say exactly the same.  In fact one guy is a professional pollinator,  (hates honey)  and when  hes going to blueberries he intentionally sends his stronges hives in order to weaken them and not lose swarms or backfill.
