In a message of Sept. 9, you requested that I provide a full proper treatment of the DL controversy. It is unfortunately impossible to properly fully deal with a scientific controversy that has been going on for over 35 years, in e-mails to Bee-L. I have been advised by the moderators of this website that messages should preferably be not more tan 500 words long.

You also requested reading material that would enable you to make up your own mind. I suggest:
