"Where would a

Same place you always went when you were paying large $. You go to the phone and call the vendor and say "Never mind list price. What is your best price if I order 50 (or 500 or 2000 or whatever you need). You do not buy a car or house at list do you? I have seen many vendors (not bee related) give 20% or 30% discounts from list on large orders. Or a smaller discount but give an upgrade in product or throw in added goodies free. Get two vendors to compete and deals happen. Offer to pay by check rather than credit card and that often is good for some savings somehow.
