  REGARDING Yellow jackets are back!

The posts about hornets just reminded me that about a month ago I posted a
note expressing surprise about the lack of yellow jackets this year here in
Michigan. I guess that they were just on vacation, and have since returned.
Thankfully, I didn't see a one during honey extracting time, but I just now
went out to the yard to retrieve my last stacks of supers, which should have
been licked dry by the bees. The bees had long departed, of course, having
gotten everything of value. However, the stacks were full of yellow jackets
having great fun! So now my world is back in order again (sigh).
