Are there photos of this interesting situation?
Please say so, as such proof would go a long way towards overturning the
apple cart on something that has been firmly decided for quite some time.

I don't think I've ever seen "one cell started" but I am a consistent user
of foundation, so I rarely see frames of comb being drawn from nothing.
