Yes as you would expect, a big difference.
Here in the south of Western Australia, when moving to spring crop pollination the weather is relatively benign, 
although the bees may only be flying in earnest for 6-8 hours per day. 

Winter pollination of crops in the of north of Western Australia, (Ord River irrigation area)  involves shifting the hives some
3700km when temperatures can be 35-40 centigrade. To do this they are loaded into chiller trucks set at 8 degrees centigrade, for the 3 days and 4 nights trip.
It doesn't seem to phase them one bit!

But the beekeeper, thats a different story.
