I'm in agreement with Bob re thymol.

Instead of rims, we apply half a dose of Apiguard between the brood boxes,
where the temperature is relatively constant.

I don't agree with the statement made by someone a few days ago that formic,
oxalic, and thymol were ineffective.  I make my living off my hives, and
don't use synthetic miticides.
