In my humble opinion, having tried them all in various configurations (both one-piece and wood frame with plastic foundation) I would rate my preference in this order:
 
Permadent (out of South Dakota, e-mail [log in to unmask])
Mann Lake's Rite Cell
Dadant's EZ frames (though kind of flimsy)
Pierco
Dadant's Plasticell
 
And you CANNOT convince me there's sufficient wax to get the bees started drawing these frames out.  I rewax everything which is a great equalizer, and in a sense, discounts my real preference.
