Well, you could look at it under a microscope.

This is a photo I made of some bee poop. Squished the poop on a 
slide, diluted with a drop of water, and covered with a slip. I took 
the photo by holding my digital camera against the scope's eyepiece, 
and shooting. The bee was a random snow angel.
