I
have more uncapped with the fall flow than spring. Last year I put the
uncapped supers in my extracting room with a dehumidifier and fan and
checked it several times with a refractometer until it was the correct
moisture content and extracted it. It was worth it, I had a lot uncapped.
To answer your question, in Maine when the flow is over they leave the
cells open. Here I have seen that wax making starts with the flow and ends
with the flow.
