Besides the features that Dave mentions, the College boasts its own golf
course, wood, river, castle, hurley pitches, chapel, swimming pool, sports
hall and cemetery! Visitors on the course can use as many of these
facilities as they feel fit for! The sea is a mile away - 30 miles of empty beach
with views to the Mountains of Mourne to the north and pre-historic barrows
on a headland to the south.

As can be expected there is great camararderie between beekeepers of all
stages and skills. Beginners can complete the Preliminary Course and get a
certificate at the end of the week. Would-be lecturers can take their exam
before a live audience and a jury of their peers on the last day.
Workshops enable one to brush up on skills such as wax work, microscopy, hive
making etc.

The food is very large and mealtimes are noisy. For those in the
dormitories there is free entry to the annual snoring competition.
