Peter- I have seen that all my beekeeping experience and I questioned it
because it did not make sense for wax production. Randy's experiments
showed that it made little difference. So I appreciate the advice but I
would rather rely on a good experiment by a very qualified scientific
beekeeper than we have always done it that way.

Beside, it won't hurt them to keep feeding 1:1 but why, with packages,
when the main thing you want ASAP is drawn comb? With fewer trips and less
chance of fermentation.

An "Amen" to Paul's post. Mirrors my approach to feeding.
