I've had two hives on my deck (on my 50 ft. downtown lot on Queen Anne Hill)
here in Seattle for three years---no problems at all. In fact, my neighbor
swears that this is the first time that he has had mare than five or six
apples on his tree. My neighbors carefully watch for any undue activity and
dutifully call me at the office with reports.

I faithfully give them all honey at harvest time!

Go for it!
