Analogies are not always clear cut but following above, sublethal dose in
our case would be?

a.- worst than alcohol
b.- less than smoked marihuana
c.- in between alcohol and smoked marihuana
d.- less than varopized marihuana

I think the answer is "all of the above".

I have witnessed one pesticide kill in my home yard. There were three hives there at the time. One hive had a carpet of dead/dying bees with full pollen baskets in front of the entrance. All the usual symptoms....trembling, disorientation, etc.

The other two hives showed no overt problems. I watched all three for awhile. The bees from the affected hive were flying in a different direction than those from the other hives.

So I believe that due to the ways bees forage (and we don't seem to know enough about that, either) hives will exhibit varying degrees of impairment if there are treated fields/gardens in the vicinity.

Christina
