The last few years I have been bringing late-season nucs into my garage for the winter.  The garage stays about above freezing, but last winter I added a 12 watt heater that I bought from the Ukraine under the nucs.  The results were good.  I don't know if it was due to the nature of the nucs, the nature of the winter, or the added warmth from the heaters.  I will be doing it again this winter with more nucs.  

These 12 volt heaters are rather inexpensive and seem to be available from a couple of Ukraine companies.  Here is a link to one of them -

The only catch with the controller they offer is that it is 240 volt.  I asked, no 120 option is available.  I used a homemade power supply.
