They have been confirmed all up and down the US West Coast, and then in the last few years on the East Coast, Canada, and places between.

They don’t outright kill colonies, so people don’t regard the issue as serious, but I’ve lost up to 200 bees per day to A. Borealis (good wings, unable to fly, crawling in circles around outside the front of the hive indicating larvae eating their insides.) Compounded, I believe the daily losses truly impact colony numbers.

There is a seasonality which used to be April through November, but has extended into January, and starts earlier. Climate Change with milder Winters seems to determine seasonality somewhat.

Your bees flying around porch lights, or bumping windows at night because of interior light, indicates ZomBee parasitism,
