This afternoon I attended a Café Sci lecture and discussion led by 
Prof. Alexander Scott.  The subject was 'Bad Science'.  It seems that, 
in order to obtain the grant from bodies such as the EU to undertake 
scientific investigations, you have first to tell them what the answer 
is!
