It's time for my annual plea that people who ask questions about wintering
please include their geographic location with their posts.
 
What Allen Dick needs to do to overwinter colonies in Alberta would strike
Maryland beekeepers as overkill, and I doubt that a colony that is properly
prepared for winter by Maryland standards would successfully overwinter in
Alberta.
