I hate to burst anyones bubble, in fact I pray that you may be right in
your assumptions.
        It is more likely that the mites haven't built to such numbers to cause
economic problems, especially as there is little or no chance of extra
infection from feral hives.
        Question? Has any of the assaying methods been applied to the hives
recently?
