     Gentlepeople:
There have been a few comments on the net recently about Buckfast
bees. Without getting into the discussion of what is and what isn't a
Buckfast bee, I have a question that results from an off hand side
note to one of the participants of that discussion.
According to some of the comments, Buckfast acceptance can be a
problem. Now I have a problem. I ordered two Weaver Buckfast queens
with the intention of splitting my two Italian hives and requeening
the splits with the Buckfast queens. The purpose is to eventually get
     two Buckfast hives going.
What can I expect and how can I encourage the Buckfast queen
     acceptance?

     Cheers,
     Mark Egloff
