Hi!
A few of my clients tell me that some providers state that oversupply may
be caused by a certain type of suckling by some tongue-tied babies. These
clients say that "mother´s body is helping the baby by making a lot of
milk, so that even though s/he is not suckling effectively, s/he gets a lot
of milk".
I think I also heard this at some lecture at some point in my life... but
I´d like to know if there is any evidence for this (I have not found any)
or what your personal observations are. In my experience, if the baby does
not suckle well and breasts are not stimulated in any other way, the
production goes down.
