No kingfisher beneath the bridge;

They're just a mem'ry now, a dream;

Not much by way of fly or midge.

Pollution's poisoned ev'ry stream!


Cute poem,  interesting thought  and a fantastic soundbite, 
 But where I live and where I grew up,  its like mother goose,  a completely convoluted fairy tail. Streams and ponds here as as full of fish as they have been all my life.
