Hi All,
Today my sons were pulling honey in 100F+ weather, using fume boards with a
common commercial scented butyric acid repellent that we have used for
years, but not at this high a temperature. They called me when the found
several hundred freshly-dead or dying bees in one hive. I rushed to the
yard, and only found a few dead bees in the other hives that had been fumed.
My question: has anyone else ever heard of bee kill from fume boards in hot
weather?
