Dr Juliana Rangler reported that good portion of sperms were dead when she used vital stain. This could be caused by the colony contamination  by pesticides. The question that was raised: Dora this happen in drones first and dead sperms were delivers to queens or sperms died in the spermatheca as queens exposed to acaricides in hives? This question will be studied soon. She is studying why US queens supersede shortly after introduction. Research  was presented at San Antonio meeting
