I've been asking around on this very question.  Some apparently in the know
tell me that the EU had not set up studies to follow the effect of
suspension of the seed treatments.  But when I spoke to a visiting French
pesticide researcher last week, he told me that studies were in effect.

It's frustrating that if such studies are indeed underway, that they are so
poorly publicized.  There are many of us who haven't taken a position, and
have nothing to prove--we just want to find out the truth!
