In my recently retired from profession, I have seen totally worthless data 
run through statistics and turned into a perfect study.  The proverbial 
making of a silk purse from a sow's ear.  What disturbs me the most is this 
is accepted as perfectly alright in today's research.  I am with you Randy I 
would prefer to see the unaltered data.
