Bees absolutely love white sweet clover and I have saw the bees fly two
miles to gather. Water should not be a problem but I have saw bees
completely ignore white Dutch. This year the bees have worked the white
Dutch daily.

The only problem I see is if the bees start working another flower closer
then the mile away becomes a minor source. bees do seem to work the closest 
source first.
My bees are working late July sources blooming now with the white sweet. 
Spanish nettle & sumac.
I have pulled all my comb boxes but a few not yet capped on white sweet.

Half my comb are yellow sweet (now gone) and the other half Black locust & 
white sweet (white good for another week but afraid of getting dark mixed 
in)

We received almost two inches of rain in my area which has brought the white 
Dutch back so we are thinking the main flow *might* last another couple 
weeks. I have never saw two honey production years the same.

My help is wanting to start pulling supers but as long as the nectar is 
still building my rule is to wait until the flow slows to a point the bees 
start pulling honey from supers. Others?

I will leave a yard or two to try to harvest drums of dark wildflower.

I am a small producer these days and the honey is for retail sales.
