If you are trying to calculate how much medication per colony, then
estimate colony weight by cluster size.  In general, it is best to look up
from the bottom of every box, and then down from the top to count the
number of "seams" between the frames FILLED with bees.  Best when cool or
in early morning.

Each seam full of bees roughly works out to about 250 g.
