Is there anyone here in missouri, that can look through a hive and see if 
they are african.
Here is some backgound. I use to use some texan queens. in 2001 I had 80 
hives and quit treating them with anything to see if some would be varao 
resistant. I have 12 hive left now and am splitting them to increase. I have 
no foul brood, no chalk brood. no varoa mites and havent had them the last 
few years.
Last year I noticed several hives that had more than one queen in them 
laying. my hives have always been a little hot. These seem to be a smaller 
bee.
But after today, I was working them and they decided to try to kill anything 
within several hundred yards. I finally had to take a shower to get them off 
the suit:)
Im curious because I have them near town and may need to requeen or move 
them furtherout in the country. I just hate to requeen because they are 
resistant to the mites.
