Many of us are not scientists.  Many or most are beekeepers, varying
from beginners up to some with fifty years of experience and/or
thousands of hives.  Some are extension people.  Some write for bee
magazines.  Some are retired.  It is a mixed bag.

Some members are brave and post often, taking criticism and occasional
abuse in stride.  Others, particularly those with jobs where they are
sensitive to abuse or public pressure, never post, but are likley to
respond off-list with helpful comments.  Most just read BEE-L and
lurk.

Feel free to jump in.  Just be prepared for a lively debate.
