Around here the best flow of the year is usually goldenrod. Although it starts to bloom in 
August, not much is made from it except pollen until after labor day. So, hives are 
definitely being supered up as we speak. In my neighborhood there is quite a lot of 
japanese knotweed, so I generally give plenty of room for that in August. It is just starting 
to wane now and if one wanted to separate it from the goldenrod, this would be the time to 
do it. The flow should go to the end of September, and asters seem to hold on well into 
October. But, no, it won't snow here, until November (I prefer the years when it holds off 
until Christmas. After that, I don't care)
