I am greatly impressed by the Sundance trap sold by Lloyd Spear (I have only
tried the bottom trap).  It gives you the cleanest pollen of any trap I've
tested, ........

I, too, like the Sundance trap.  It's the only one I've used but, like Randy, I've found the pollen to be very clean when harvested.
I waited about a week between harvests (located 1/2 way between Montgomery and Mobile) and didn't have problems Randy mentioned.  Lucky, I guess.
I have used it since in making up pollen substitute feed.  I mixed the harvested pollen in with the pollen substitute an effort to make the patty more nutritious.
