Over the last four decades I have had many opportunities to diagnosis
deadouts for new beekeepers (and commercial ).
Even my friend Aaron (and the others) left out the number one deadout cause
by far.
More than double any other cause I ever saw!
Starvation! Easy to see!
Bees dead with heads stuck in empty cells!
Either no honey or honey a distance from the dead bee cluster!
Used to happen to me (decades ago) until I decided not to put up with
starvation and now only happens on rare occasions.
I would not burn a deadout with starvation symptoms!
