Re: Jeanette's note re: Dr. Brazelton:
<he says: "The babies looked great - but the mothers looked like.....">

Well, that's disappointing, but should we maybe just lighten up? Maybe I'm
*way* wrong, but when I read that, I just figured that it was the kind of
thing someone from a different generation would say to get a laugh. Like,
does anybody remember being a little girl, around 5 or 6 years old, and your
grandfather's buddies' idea of a good joke was to call you "little boy"?
Well, I remember my mom explaining to me that they didn't really mean
anything by it, that maybe they didn't really know how to show a little kid
that they liked her and so they would tease her that way, and no, they don't
*really* think you're a boy and no, they don't mean to hurt your feelings.

Maybe I'm naive, but I can't really get worked up by Dr. Brazelton's
comment. I weigh it in the balance with the other, more positive things, I
know about his work over the years, and I come up thinking, "well, kinda
dumb but not fatal".
