POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Fort Campbell, KY, a 105,000 acre Army installation in Kentucky and
Tennessee, requires a Cultural Resources Manager (CRM) to provide technical
assistance and managerial support to the installation.  This is a contract
position; the CRM will be an employee of Diversified Technology Consultants
contracted to work at the installation.  The position is open immediately
and will be filled as soon as possible.  Applicants should have an M.A. or
Ph.D. degree and experience in Cultural Resource Management in the
southeastern or Midwestern United States.

Knowledge of federal laws and regulations pertaining to cultural resources
and experience in working with these regulations is required.  The CRM will
ensure that the installation is in compliance with applicable federal,
state, and Army regulations, including the National Historic Preservation
Act, the Archaeological Resource Protection Act, the Native American Graves
Protection and Repatriation Act and other relevant legislation.  The CRM
will plan and coordinate large-scale surveys of the installation, ensure the
accuracy and completeness of the GIS database of surveys and identified
sites, and monitor sites to  ensure protection.  The CRM will ensure
protection of identified NRHP-eligible structures and districts on the
installation.  The CRM will interact with the KY and TN SHPO, the Advisory
Council on Historic Preservation, Native American groups, the public, and
other installation personnel.  The CRM will conduct training and briefings
for other installation personnel and develop plans for continuing Cultural
resource Management activities and programs.
