David Cozy wrote: >Anyway, which of Ma's recordings do list-members consider superb? I love his two versions of the Brahms sonatas, and his Beethoven Sonatas, both with Emanuel Axe. I'm very fond of his chamber music, especially the Schubert G Major D. 161 with Gidon Kremer, Daniel Phillips, and Kim Kashkashian and the Brahms Piano Quartets with a surprisingly mellow Isaac Stern, Jaime Laredo and Emanuel Ax. There is also a cd that is one of my guilty pleasures: Ma playing Caprices by Paganini and encore pieces by Fritz Kreisler, originally meant for violin and played unbelievably on the cello.
