The world premiere of Weill's Street Scenes was announced as part of the NY
Phil's season.

Last night, Bravo presented a three hour opera titled Street Scene (written
in 1946).

Based on Elmer Rice's play, this opera by Kurt Weill combines jazz, blues,
spirituals, & jitterbug and lyrics by Harlem poet Langston Hughes to paint
a portrait of life in a New York City tenement. (3:00) HDTV German
production 1995

It's dated. I didn't find it very engrossing. It does have the Ice Cream
Cone song, which praises ice cream. That's a truth that still rings true...
