i do not describe my daughter, who will turn 6 next tuesday, as "still
nursing." i just describe her as "nursing." if we say *still* nursing as if
it were unusual or abnormal, ti conveys an odd message for those of us who do
this work.

yeah, i know, just call me "ms. language police." hey, i am very lenient on a
lot of things. and the fertility specialist needs to tell the mother to make
her own choice based on the evidence, and if he has some evidence that
breastfeeding would keep her from getting pregnant, he should produce that
evidence. the many mothers who got pregnant while breastfeeding could all use
a big laugh.
