Thank you, all, for your suggestions about the case of very thin mom and
little milk.  We've not given up yet.

We talked about mom's diet, and Dad is working on more calories,
particularly fats. Mom has had problems with her weight/food.  In college
she was ill from not eating enough, and forced milk shakes for a few months
to regain some of the weight. She forgets to eat when things are going on
around her.

She is hand-expressing more drops now, and hasn't given up on a milk
supply.  She is using a Classic pump, getting 1-2 drops. Meanwhile baby is
growing on abm, taken with supplementer at the breast (somewhat). Yesterday
he was happy to be at the breast for suckling after a feed, and his latch
was good.

I also recommended a calcium/magnesium supplement, thinking that with her
modest diet she might be deficient here.

I'll let you know how it goes.
