Thanks Magna for saying many wonderful things about your commitment to breastfeeding, even if there were no health benefits. We have a wonderful state and local breastfeeding task force, but almost all the time, I have been the only volunteer to be an active participant. Everyone else is there because of their love of breastfeeding, but it's also an accepted part of their job description. I can't offer to have my hospital print a flyer nor do I know how to write a grant to get bumper stickers...I'm very, very glad we have people who can do these things. I just wish that more of them would think outside of their job descriptions about volunteers. In other words, if they won the lottery and got to quit their jobs, would they still come and be active members? Let's give a round of applause for our volunteers! Jacie in sunny Albuquerque, New Mexico, where we finally had a nice snow storm in the mountains, that means rain in the city. Of course, the son with the season ski pass turned it back in for a full credit for next year, oh well!
