There does seem to be some anecdotal evidence that some women get
headaches worse during the early part of breastfeeding.  However, these
generally get better spontaneously.

It was a little hard to read the post, but it seems to me the mother
could be treated with something to prevent her migraines, rather than
just pain relief.  Perhaps propranalol (which is *not* contraindicated
during breastfeeding). And perhaps she could also have something like
sumatriptan (Imitrex) which she could take during an acute episode.
